Dr. med. Rainer Esch, M.D., studied at the University of Bonn, Germany. He received his medical license and finished his doctoral dissertation in 1988. Then he began his surgical vocational education in Bergheim, near Cologne, Germany. There he became an emergency doctor, working several years in the field.
Afterwards, he worked at the St. Petrus Krankenhaus in Bonn, Germany, at the orthopedic and accident medicine department to begin his orthopedic specialization. For one year, he also was trained at the Brüderkrankenhaus in Trier, Germany.
In 1996, Dr. Esch founded the outpatient rehabilitation clinic Ortho and established his own orthopedic practice in Bonn at the Münsterplatz together with Dr. med. Thomas Lagodka, M. D.
The orthopedic career of Dr. Esch can be characterized by years of intensive vocational training in gentle chiropractic and osteopathic medicine.
He is also an experienced specialist in the treatment of muscular trigger points by the so-called shockwave therapy, neural therapy and acupuncture.
Dr. Esch a member of “Berufsverband der Orthopäden” (German society of orthopedics), the “Deutsche Gesellschaft für Akupunktur” (German society of acupuncture) and “Deutsche Gesellschaft für osteopathische Medizin” (DGOM – German society of osteopathic medicine).
Since 2014, he has been a consultant at Beta Klinik.
Dr. Esch likes to travel and hike.
