Spacer

Spacer – the interspinous implant

In case of non-intense stenosis and patients for whom a full anaesthesia is too dangerous, as the ‘minimallest’ surgery a spacer, that is a small metal part, can be implanted between the spinous process in height of the spinal spinal stenosis. The intergration of a spacer leads to a dilatation of the diameter of the spinal canal and can eliminate the complaints.

The percutaneous spacer surgery can be done as an outpatient in local anesthesia.
