The treatment only takes a few minutes and allows patients to be symptom free in their everyday life within a very short time.<\/p><p>Whilst under anaesthetic, a laser probe is introduced into the infected opening of the fistula right through to the abscess cavity. Only a small incision in the skin is necessary to position the probe as large incisions in the buttocks area are not needed. The low number of cuts is cosmetically attractive and the rapid healing of the wound greatly enhanced.
