Dr. Springorum visited Medical University in Marburg (Hessen) from 1994 and graduated his final exam in 2001. Two terms in Vienna and Mendoza (Argentine) lead him to several experience in international medicine.
For his surgical basic skills he started his clinical career in Bonn at the Johanniter-Krankenhaus before he turned to the musculoscelettal system to treat patients in orthopaedic and trauma cases. His fellowship at Cologne University allowed him to gain experience in common diseases an additionally in very rare and complex clinical pictures.
A „Harvard-Fellowship“ allowed him 2005 for several months to train and specify at Harvard Medical School in Boston, after his return 2007 thereupon he was promoted as consultant. His focus was laid now on arthroplasty of hip joint, knee, shoulders and their complications. Furthermore he developed his knowledge in foot surgery and in childrens orthopaedic diseases concerning operative and non-operative treatment.
At 2012 he became Leading Consultant and achieved Cologne University to be the first Maximum Arthroplasty Centre that was even specialised for primary and secondary arthroplasties including treatment of mild and severe deformities.
Since summer 2015 Dr. Springorum is orthopaedic Surgeon at the Beta Klinik. His focus is treatment of arthritis from joint preserving techniques up to joint replacement in hips, knees and shoulders. He treats children from orthopaedic and trauma side and is master in foot surgery.
